The Alice Coyote Swim team and Coaches knew the district would be tough and top finishes would be hard to come by, but the swimmers have worked very hard since day one to accomplish so much and it showed on Saturday at the CCISD Natatorium. Led by Emerico Perez District Title finish in the 200 IM, the Alice Coyotes had an incredible day in the pool. The Girls Team placed 6th overall and the Boys Team placed 4th overall out of the 11 team district. Here are the results from Saturday.
In the individual races Emerico Perez placed 1st overall in the 200 IM. Jaden Molina was 5th in the 50 free and he also placed 4th in the 100 free. Coling Chrismas was 6th in the 100 free and Emerico Perez placed 3rd in the 100 backstroke.
In Relay Action the Boys and Girls really stepped up and advance 6 relays!
Girls Relays: 5th in the 200 Medley, 5th in the 200 Freestyle and 5th in the 400 Freestyle. Relay members include Bria Escobar, Caitlynn Rubio, Jade Garcia and Suzanne Jiminian.
Boys Relays: 2nd in the 200 freestyle relay and 3rd in the 200 medley relay. Boys relay members include Jaden Molina, Omar Zarate, Emerico Perez and Colin Crisman. The other Relay that qualified for Regionals was the Boys 400 Freestyle which was 5th. Relay members are Zander Urrurita, Oscar Lallana, Asher Springs and Omar Zarate.
