The Lady Coyotes traveled to Robstown on Friday Jan. 7th and came away with a league opening win. After the 1st period Robstown looked as if they were in control, but the Lady Coyotes stuck to their game plan and did an outstanding job of shutting down Robstown offensively. At the end of the contest the Orange and White pulled away to win by 13, 45-32. Leading the Lady Coyotes offensively was senior Madison Valdez who shot the ball very well, especially the 2nd half. She led all scorers with 25 points. The combined F/JV also defeated Robstown to complete the sweep. Next up for the Lady Coyotes is Zapata on Tuesday and then Kingsville on Friday. Best wishes Ladies!
