The Alice HS Varsity Girls and Boys Basketball teams hosted league leading Kingsville on Tuesday. The Varsity girls competed very well but came up short by the score of 47-40. Leading the girls in scoring was Madison Valdez with 10 points. The Lady Coyotes are now 3-5 in district. Next up for the Lady Coyotes is another home game on Friday vs. Calallen. 

In the Varsity Boys contest the home team battled all game long but fell short to the district leading Brahmas by the score of 84-67. Leading the charge for the Coyotes was freshman Alejandro Asevedo with 28, Ryan Salas with 11 and Hondo Vasquez with 10. The JV won by the score of 42-38. Alice is now 3-3 in district with a home game vs. Calallen on Friday.
